1.The list of Symbols and abbreviations without meaning and reference style were not in compliance with the NUC CCMAS.

2. The Programme is to top heavy, 58% of teaching staff are Professors.

3. The Programme laboratory lacks some equipment such as:- Hydrostatic bench, Cooling Towers, Spray dryers.

4. Office accommodation for the staff are slightly inadequate in space.

5. There were no evidence(s) of research collaboration.

 

1. The University should ensure symbols and abbreviations are in compliance with NUC CCMAS

2. The University should ensure they employ more staff in the Senior cadre and Lecturers 1 below cadre.

3. The University should ensure all the equipment needed to run the programme are provided.

4. The University should ensure they provide the required space for staff of the Programme.

5. The University should ensure the research collaboration with other institutions and organsations is put in place to effectively run the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 87.20%. It scored 34 (91.89%)  in Academic Matters, 30 (85.71%) in Staffing, 23 (85.19%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 0 (0.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
