1. Marking schemes are not well developed and block marking was observed
2. Essential laboratory equipment such as glass-blowing is not available.
3. Academic staff offices are not well furnished with bookshelves, filling cabinet, fridges and Ac’s
4. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

 

1. The University should ensure that marking scheme is well developed and block marking should be discontinued
2. All essential laboratory equipment’s should be procured for the programme.
3. Standard academic staff offices should be well furnished with bookshelves, filling cabinet, fridges and Ac’s.
4. The programme should be adequately funded

 

The total score for the programme is 89.57%. It scored 25 (86.21%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (100.00%) in Staffing, 23 (85.19%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 0 (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
