1. There are is only one innovative course in the curriculum of the programme. 2. Practical conducted do not adequately cover the curriculum. Some Laboratories such as Veterinary Public Health and Veterinary Microbiology are just being equipped. Practical manuals are not yet available for Veterinary Surgery, Veterinary Pathology and Animal Health & production departments. 3. Academic staff mix by rank of 4. 48.8% of the non-teaching staff have not benefitted from the staff Development programme in the past three years 5. Laboratory equipment such as Incubator and Oven are not available in the Veterinary Public Health laboratory. The number of pH meters and Spectrophotometer in Physiology and Pharmacology laboratories are inadequate. The number of light microscopes in the Parasitology and Microbiology laboratories are inadequate. Furthermore, Anatomy, Pathology, Microbiology and Parasitology laboratories lack projecting microscopes. 6. Academic staff offices for the following Departments are in adequate in space: Veterinary Anatomy, Veterinary Physiology & Biochemistry, Veterinary Obstetrics, Veterinary Pathology, Veterinary Medicine and Veterinary Surgery & Radiology. 7. Physical library books do not cover the following areas: Veterinary Surgery, Veterinary Obstetrics, Veterinary Public Health and Animal production. 8. Physical library holdings are not adequate in number and currency for journals.

1. The University should ensure inclusion of at least Four (4) innovative courses in the curriculum without exceeding the maximum credit load. 2. The University should ensure that practical work adequately cover the curriculum and are well documented in log books and manuals. 3. The University should ensure the staff mix by rank of 20:35:45 in line with the NUC guidelines. 4. The University is encouraged to ensure that all staff benefit from the staff Development Programme. 5. The University should provide all essential laboratory equipment for the programme. 6. Standard offices should be provided for academic staff of the programme. 7. More relevant books and journals should be procured for the programme 8. Current relevant journals should be procured for the programme

The total score for the programme is 83.39%. It scored 29.4 (84.00%) in Academic Matters, 33 (94.29%) in Staffing, 20 (74.07%) in Physical Facilities, 14.3 (79.44%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2.2 (73.33%) in Research and Collaborations and 0 (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
