Only 61% of academic staff have a PhD

Only 33% of non-academic staff benefited from staff development

Classrooms are poorly equipped.

Sanitation of the department is poor

Sand buckets and fire extinguishers are inadequate in number

 

All academic staff should obtain their PhD

More academic staff should benefit from staff development

More non-academic staff should benefit from staff development

Classroom equipment should be improved.

Environmental sanitation should be improved

More fire extinguishers and sand buckets should be provided.

 

The total score for the programme is 84.80%. It scored 34.5 (93.24%)  in Academic Matters, 26 (74.29%) in Staffing, 21 (77.78%) in Physical Facilities, 17.5 (97.22%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
