1. Only 22% of teaching staff are from the parent university.

2. Staff mix by rank is consistent with NUC guidelines in only one category.
3. 33.3% of the teaching staff did not have PhD.
4. 33.3% of teaching staff did not benefit from staff development programme.
5. None of the non-teaching staff benefitted from staff development programme.
6. Staff accommodation is not well equipped.
7. Inadequate number of fire extinguishers and sand buckets.

8.No Subscription to data bases in the e-library, only open source materials.

 

1. At least 25% of teaching staff of the programme should come from the parent university.
2. The College should strive to meet NUC’s guideline of 20;35;45

3. All teaching staff of the programme should have Ph.D.
4. All teaching staff of the programme should benefit from staff development programme.
5. All non-teaching staff should be encouraged to benefit from staff development programme.
6. The College should equip staff offices with more facilities like bookshelves, file cabinets and more chairs.

7. Staff offices should be well equipped with bookshelves, file cabinets and more chairs.
8. The College should subscribe to at least 2 databases in addition to open source materials.

 

The total score for the programme is 79.23%. It scored 37 (100.00%)  in Academic Matters, 30 (75.00%) in Staffing, 21 (77.78%) in Physical Facilities, 11 (61.11%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 0 (0.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored less than 70% in any of the four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme
