1. There is only one inclusion of innovative courses in the curriculum for the programme.

2. Staff mix by rank of (22.9:26.4:50.6) does not meet the BMAS requirements.

3. The internal quality assurance system for the programme is ineffective.

4. There is inadequate number non-teachiing staff for the programme.
5. Less than 60% of non-teaching benefitted from staff development training for the programme.

6. There is inadequate water supply in the Biochemistry Laboratory and space in the Anatomy graveyard.

7. Library holdings on physical books are inadequate in number for the programme.

8. Funding for the programme is inadequate

 

1. The University should ensure the inclusion of four or more innovative courses in the curriculum for the programme.

2. Staff mix by rank across all the cadres be consistent with the provision of the BMAS.
3. There should effective internal quality assurance system for the programme.

4. The University should recruit adequate number of non-teaching Staff for the programme.

5. The University should ensure that all non-teaching staff benefit from staff development training for the programme.

6. There should be adequate supply of water in the Biochemistry Laboratory and provide more space in the Anatomy graveyard.

7. The University should procure adequate number of books for the programme.
8. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 84.96%. It scored 31.8 (85.95%)  in Academic Matters, 31.0 (88%) in Staffing, 22.8 (84.44%) in Physical Facilities, 14.6 (81.11%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
