1. some core courses- PHY 209; Introduction to Space
Science, PHY 313/319; Electronics I and II, and PHY; 320
Workshop Practice were omitted in the curriculum.
2. Staff mix by rank of 25:37.5:37.5 complies with the NUC
guidelines in only one category.
3. 62.5% of academic staff have Ph.D
4. 37.5 of academic and non academic staff have not
benefitted from the staff development programme.

 

1. All core courses should be captured in the curriculum.
2. The university should maintain a staff mix by rank of
20:35:45 for the programme.
3. At least 70% academic staff should possess the Ph.D
4. The University should ensure that all staff enjoy staff
development programme

 

The total score for the programme is 85.54%. It scored 30 (90.91%)  in Academic Matters, 27 (77.14%) in Staffing, 24.5 (90.74%) in Physical Facilities, 15.5 (86.11%) in Library. The programme scored 1.5 (50.00%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
