1. There are no innovative courses in the curriculum of the programme. 2. The Staff Student Ratio exceed the 1:20 required for science discipline. 3. The Staff Mix by Rank of 27:8:65 does not meet the NUC guidelines. 4. 32% of the Academic Staff and 38% of the Non-academic staff have not benefited from the Staff Development Programme. 5. Physical Library Books and Journals are not adequate in number. 6. The Internet connectivity is very slow. 7. Funding is inadequate for the programme.

1. The University should ensure that the curriculum is enriched with a minimum of four innovative courses without exceeding the maximum credit load. 2. The University should ensure to adhere to the 1:20 Staff Student Ratio for Science discipline. 3. The University should ensure a Staff Mix by Rank of 20:35:45 meet the NUC guideline. 4. The University should ensure that all staff benefit from the Staff Development Programme. 5. The University should procure more Books and Journals for the programme. 6. The University should increase the internet bandwidth. 7. The University should ensure the programme is adequately funded.

The total score for the programme is 85.92%. It scored 32 (86.49%) in Academic Matters, 30 (85.71%) in Staffing, 24.4 (90.37%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (77.78%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
