1. The Proportion of Staff core to Subject area is not in line as stipulated in the BMAS/CCMAS.
2. Some essential Laboratory equipment are not available while laboratory equipments inspected does not meet the BMAS/CCMAS specification covering broad area of the programme.
3. Showers are not installed in the laboratories.
4. Books and journals in the physical library are inadequate in number and currency

 

1. The University must ensure that all staff subject to core area meets the requirements as specified in the BMAS/CCMAS.
2. The University should procure PCR, Plate reader and Freezer of 20C-40C for the programme while Functional Laboratory equipments inspected must meet the BMAS/CCMAS specification.
3. The University should install showers for emergency purposes.
4. More current books and journals should be procured for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 92.00%. It scored 37 (100.00%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94.00%) in Staffing, 24 (88.89%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (77.78%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
