1. Practical conducted do not adequately cover the curriculum. 2. 42.9% of academic staff have not benefitted from staff development programme. 3. 88.9% of non-teaching staff have not benefitted from staff development programme. 4. Laboratory equipment such as blood count chambers, westergren apparatus, Audiometer, pulse oximeter and students spirometer are not available for the programme. 5. Academic staff offices are ill equipped and not furnished with bookshelves and filing cabinets. 6. Funding is inadequate for the programme 7. There is no multidisciplinary approach to research

1. The department should ensure that practicals conducted should cover the curriculum adequately. 2. The University should encourage all academic staff to benefit from staff development programme. 3. The University should ensure that all the non-academic staff benefit from the staff development programme. 4. All essential laboratory equipment should be provided for the programme. 5. Adequate number of well furnished offices should be provided for the academic staff of the programme. 6. The programme should be adequately funded. 7. The University should ensure that there is a multidisciplinary approach to research.

The total score for the programme is 78.51%. It scored 28 (84.85%) in Academic Matters, 27 (77%) in Staffing, 20 (74.07%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 1 (33.33%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of FULL accreditation status for the Programme
