1. The curriculum is not fully covered. MCB 407; MCB 482; and MCB 431 are excluded.

2. The practicals conducted are not enough for the programme.

3. The staff/student ratio is 1:21 above the recommended 1:20 for science programme.

4. Only 50% of the academic staff to the programme have their Ph.D

5. The offices are not well furnished.

 

1. The University should make sure the missing courses are included in the curriculum.

2. The University should make sure enough practicals are conducted to cover the course outline.

3. The University should always comply with the guidelines.

4. The University should be encouraged their academic staff to obtain their Ph.D.

5. The University should provide proper furnishing for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 85.60%. It scored 32 (86.49%)  in Academic Matters, 30 (85.71%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94.44%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
