1. Only 56.5% of the academic staff have PhD
2. Only 60.9% of the academic staff benefitted from the Staff Development Programme
3. Only 9.1% of the non-academic staff benefitted from the Staff Development Programme
4. Classrooms equipment are not well maintained
5. The sanitary condition of the University environment is poor
6. The currency of the physical holding books is inadequate in areas such as digital forensic, forensic criminology, forensic pathology, and digital evidence gathering
7.There is no campus wide hotspot, university library portal and the internet connectivity in the main library is poor
8. Funding for the programme is inadequate

2. The University should ensure that all academic staff benefitted from the Staff Development Programme
3. The University should ensure that all non-academic staff benefitted from the Staff Development Programme
4. The University should ensure that classrooms equipment are well maintained
5. The University should ensure that the University environment is kept clean and safe
6. The University should ensure that current books in various aspects of Forensics such as digital forensic, forensic criminology, forensic pathology, and digital evidence gathering are provided
Then University should ensure that there is campus wide hotspot, active library portal and strong internet connectivity in the main library
8. The University should ensure that the programme is well funded

 

The total score for the programme is 78.66%. It scored 26.6 (80.61%)  in Academic Matters, 25 (71.43%) in Staffing, 24 (88.89%) in Physical Facilities, 13 (72.22%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 0 (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
