The Practical work for the field work does not cover the curriculum 2. 48% of the academic staff and 94.7% of the non- teaching staff have not benefitted from staff development programme in the last 3 years. 3. The shared offices for lecturer 1 and below are inadequate in space. 4. Essential laboratory equipment such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray Florescence spectroscopy (XRFS), Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) and inducture couple plasma mass spectroscopy (ICP-MS) are not available for the programme.

The total score for the programme is 83.60%. It scored 33 (89.2%) in Academic Matters, 28.5 (81%) in Staffing, 21 (77.8%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83.3%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.7%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
