1) The following Core Courses are omitted from the Curriculum: 2) The external examiner is engaged beyond the recommended maximum number of years 3) Internal quality assurance is not effective as there is no evidence of frequent meetings or record of decisions taken by the committee 4) 36% of teaching staff are not core to the programme. 5) 36% of academic staff and all the non-teaching staff have not benefitted from staff development programme 6) There is no alternative source of power in the accounting laboratory. 7) Books and Journals in the physical library are inadequate in number and coverage. Books on Cost Accounting, Auditing, Financial Analysis and Financial Management are not available in the Library. 8) Poor Internet connectivity impedes access to e-resources in the library. 9) There is no multi disciplinary approach to research and collaborations by staff and students in the programme.

1) The academy should ensure that the Curriculum is reviewed to include all Core courses specified in the BMAS /CCMAS 2) The academy should engage another external examiner who will serve for maximum 2 years. 3) The academy should ensure that an effective Internal quality assurance mechanism is in place to impact on the programme. 4) The academy should ensure that the ratio of teaching staff core to the programme provides for at least 75% of the teaching staff need. 5) The academy should ensure that all academic staff and non-teaching staff benefit from staff development programme 6) The academy should provide alternative source of power in the accounting laboratory. 7) More current books should be procured at the library 8) Internet connectivity should be proved upon. 9) The Academy should ensure a multidisciplinary approach to research and collaboration.

The total score for the programme is 84.80%. It scored 32 (86.49%) in Academic Matters, 31 (89%) in Staffing, 25 (92.59%) in Physical Facilities, 13 (72.22%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 1 (33.33%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of FULL accreditation status for the Programme
