DEFICIENCIES

REMEDIES

1. ENT 412 Rethinking Traditional Occupation is omitted from the curriculum.
2. Students demonstrated average level of hard and soft skill relevant to the programme.
3. Internal quality assurance mechanism is not effective as there are no evidence of minutes of meetings.
4. 100% of the non teaching staff have not benefitted from the staff development programme in the past three years.
5. Academic staff offices are inadequate in space and not well furnished with bookshelves and televisions.
6. Library books and journals are inadequate in number.

 

1. The university should ensure that the curriculum is reviewed to include ENT412.
2. The university should ensure that students acquire a very good level of hard and soft skill relevant for their level.
3. Internal quality assurance should be improved to impact positively on the programme with minuites of eetings documented.
4. The university should ensure that all staff benefits from the Staff Development Programme.
5. Spacious well furnished should be provided for the programme.
6. More books and journals should be procured for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 85.15%. It scored 21 (80.77%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94.29%) in Staffing, 12 (75.00%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83.33%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
