REMEDIES

1. Practical’s conducted in public health engineering, hydrolic and hydrology did not cover the curriculum.

2. Non-teaching (technical) are not adequate for the programme.

3. Laboratory space for water resources environmental, Geochemical and Highway are not available for the programme.

4. The following laboratory equipment’s such as: Universat testing machine, Trioxial testing machine, Theodolite, Total station and Compressor machine are not available for the programme.

5. Academic staff offices are inadequate in space.

6. Available fire extinguishers are expired.

 

1. The University should ensure that adequate practicals are conducted to cover the depth and scope of the curriculum.

2. The University should ensure that adequate and qualified technical staff are employed for the programme.

3. Standard (spacious) laboratory should be provided for the programme.

4. All essential laboratory equipment should be provided for the programme.

5. Standard (spacious) and well-furnished offices should be provided for the academic staff of the programme.

6. The University should ensure that functional fire extinguishers and sand buckets are installed at strategic locations for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 87.60%. It scored 30 (90.91%)  in Academic Matters, 34 (97%) in Staffing, 19 (70.37%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
