1. Only one innovative course is included in the curriculum.

2. 93.7% of the academic staff have not benefited from staff development.

3. None of the non-academic staff have benefited from staff development.

4. The laboratory lacks some basic equipment such as Analyzer, weighing Scale, drone and electrophoresis machine

5. Furniture in the classroom are not well maintained.

6.There is only one relevant textbook in the library.

1. The university should include at least 3 innovative courses to the programme.

4. The university should provide the programme with basic equipment such as Analyzer, weighing Scale, drone and electrophoresis machine.

5. Furniture in the classroom should be maintained.

6. The university should purchase more relevant textbooks for the physical library.

7. The internet bandwidth should be increased.

 

The total score for the programme is 76.03%. It scored 27 (81.82%)  in Academic Matters, 28 (80.00%) in Staffing, 21 (77.78%) in Physical Facilities, 11 (61.11%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 1 (50.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored less than 70% in any of the four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme
