1. Student’s Handbooks are available, but are not well publicized. Penalties governing examination conduct are not contained in the student’s handbook. 2. Practical work conducted do not fully cover the curriculum. There are no practical manuals or log books. 3. The Internal Quality Assurance system is not effective as there are no minutes of meetings. 4. 42.9% of the academic staff do not have Ph.D degree. 5. Non-teaching staff have not benefitted from the staff development programme in the past three years. 6. There is no GIS laboratory for the programme. 7. Lecture Theaters are not well illuminated and ventilated. 8. There are no window blinds or curtains in some academic staff offices and no tap water in the toilets. 9. The slow internet connectivity impedes access to e-books and journals by students and staff of the programme. 10. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

1. Stundent’s Handbook should be well publicized and the rules governing examination conduct contained in them, 2. Practicals works should adequately cover the curriculum and manuals or log books provided for students on the programme. 3. The University should ensure that the Internal Quality Assurance system is effective and its activities documented to impact on the programme. 4. All academic staff should be encouraged to obtain the Ph.D degree. 5. The university should ensure that all non-teaching staff benefit from staff development programme. 6. The university should provide a standard and well equipped GIS laboratory for the programme. 7. The university should ensure that illumination and ventilation of the lecture theaters are improved upon. 8. The University should ensure that window blinds or curtains and tap water are provided in the offices of the academic staff on the programme. 9. The university should ensure that internet connectivity is improved upon. 10. The programme should be adequately funded.

The total score for the programme is 80.67%. It scored 26 (78.79%) in Academic Matters, 29 (82.86%) in Staffing, 21 (77.78%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
