DEFICIENCIES

REMEDIES

1. The practical work conducted by the students are not adequate.

2. Only 20% of the academic staff are from the Parent University.

3. The Staff Mix by Rank is not consistent with NUC guideline in two categories.

4. All the non-academic staff have not benefitted from the Staff Development Programme.

5. Academic Staff offices are not adequately furnished with modern furniture and file cabinet.

6. There are no fire extinguishers in the department of Business Education.

7. Physical Library Books and Journals are inadequate in currency.

8. The programme in not adequately funded.

 

1. The College should ensure that more practical work are conducted on the programme for students to have more knowledge of Business Education programme.

2. The College should ensure that al least 25% of the academic staff are from the Parent University.

3. The College should ensure a Staff Mix by Rank of 20:35:45.

4. The College should ensure that all the staff benefit from the Staff Development Programme of the Institution.

5. The College should provide well furnished offices for the programme.

6. Fire extinguishers should be procured for the programme to improve safety.

7. The College Should procure more current Books and Journals for the programme.

8. The Programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 85.71%. It scored 30 (90.91%)  in Academic Matters, 34 (85.00%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library, in academic matters, staffing, physical facilities and library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
