1. Only 62.5% of the academic staff have Ph,D degree
2. Only 50% of the Non-Academic Staff benefited from the Staff Development Programme.
3. Computers in the language lab are not adequate and Organs of speech chart is not available.
4. File Cabinet and Air Conditioners are not available in some staff offices
5. The books in the library are not adequate in number and coverage
6. Funding for the programme is inadequate.
7. No Multidisciplinary approach engaged in research and collaboration

 

1. The University should ensure that all academic staff have Ph,D degree
2. The University should ensure that all Staff benefited from the Staff Development Programme.
3. Adequate Computers and Organs of speech chart should be provided in the language lab.
4. File Cabinet and Air Conditioners should be made available in all staff offices
5. Adequate and Current books should be provided in the library
6. The programme should be adequately funded.
7. Multidisciplinary approach should be engaged in research and collaboration

 

The total score for the programme is 84.55%. It scored 35 (94.59%)  in Academic Matters, 32 (91.43%) in Staffing, 21 (77.78%) in Physical Facilities, 13 (72.22%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
