DEFICIENCIES

REMEDIES

1. BMAS courses like Advanced English Syntax and Advanced English Composition are not in the curriculum.
2. Internal quality assurance exists but not active as minutes of meetings were not sighted.
3. The staff mix by rank of 43:43:14 does not meet the BMAS requirements in any category.
4. Staff offices are inadequate in space and furnishing.
5. The bandwidth at the e-library is slow and subscription to e-resources is inadequate.
6. Funding for the programme is not adequate.

 

1. All BMAS courses should be included in the curriculum.
2. The Institution should ensure active internal quality assurance with minutes of meetings documented.
3. The College should ensure a staff mix by rank of 20: 35: 45
4. The college should provide adequate staff offices and well furnished,
5. The bandwidth speed should be improved
and more subscriptions to e-resources should be made.
6. Funding for the programme should be iimproved.

 

The total score for the programme is 80.00%. It scored 27 (72.97%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (82.50%) in Staffing, 23 (85.19%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (77.78%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library, in academic matters, staffing, physical facilities and library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
