1. The curriculum contains only one additional innovative courses.

2. 22.2% of the teaching staff are from the parent University.

3. Model such as Kidney, liver and reagents are in adequate in number,the Aquarium is not functional.

4. Furniture in the classrooms are not well maintain.

5. Academic staff offices are inadequate in space

6. The physical library journals are inadequate in currency.

7. Funding is inadequate for the programme.

 

1. The College should ensure that the curriculum is enriched
by the addition of at least four innovative courses without
exceeding the maximum credit load.

2. The College should ensure that the proportion of teaching
staff from the parent University provides for at least 25% of
the teaching staff need.

3. All essential equipment and Chemicals should be provided
for the programme.

4. Furniture items in classrooms should be well maintained.

5. Standard (spacious) offices should be provided for
academic staff on the programme.

6. More current journals should be procured for the programmer.

7. he programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 89.23%. It scored 34 (91.89%)  in Academic Matters, 38 (95.00%) in Staffing, 21 (77.78%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94.44%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library, in academic matters, staffing, physical facilities and library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
