1. 30.1% of the academic staff do not have a Ph.D degree.

2. 47.8% of the academic staff and all none teaching staff have not
benefitted from staff development programme.

3. Fire extinguishers and sand buckets are inadequate in number.

4. Physical library books and journals are inadequate in number.

5. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

6. There is no multi-disciplinary approach to research for the
programme.

 

1. The University should encourage all academic staff to obtain their Ph.D
degree.

2. The University should encourage all academic and none teaching staff
to benefit from the staff development programme.

3. More fire extinguishers and sand buckets should be provided for the
programme.

4. More physical library book and journals should be provided for the
programme.

5.The programme should be adequately funded.

6. The University should ensure that there is multi-disciplinary approach
to research for the programme

 

The total score for the programme is 86.92%. It scored 34 (91.89%)  in Academic Matters, 32 (80.00%) in Staffing, 26 (96.30%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 2 (66.6730%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library, in academic matters, staffing, physical facilities and library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
