1. Marking schemes for the programme is not available. 2. Only 53.3% of the academic staff have Ph.D degree. 3. Only 40% of the academic staff and 29% of non-academic staff benefited from the Staff Development Programme. 4. Production and Reservoir Laboratories have not been fully set up for the programme. 5. Some essential Laboratory equipment are not available. 6. Classrooms are inadequate in number and the Faculty Lecture Theatre is not well maintained. 7. Academic staff offices are inadequate in space and not well furnished. 8. Computers in the Autocard Lab are inadequate in number and some important softwares for the programme are not installed 9. Library books and journals are inadequate in number. 10. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

1. Marking schemes should be provided for the courses in the programme. 2. All academic staff should be encouraged to obtain the Ph.D degree. 3. The University should ensure that all academic and non-academic staff benefit from the Staff Development Programme. 4. The University should provide well equipped Production and Reservoir Laboratories for the Programme. 5. The University should procure Retort Kit, Weighing Balance, Filtration apparatus, metres and Centrifuge for the programme. 6. Adequate number of classrooms and well-maintained Lecture theatre should be provided for the programme. 7. Standard and adequately furnished academic staff offices should be provided for the programme. 8. Adequate number of computers installed with MBAL, ECLIPSE, PROSPER, TECHLOG, PETREL should be provided. 9. More current books and journals on Reservoir and Production Engineering should be procured for the programme. 10. The programme should be adequately funded.

The total score for the programme is 66.39%. It scored 24 (72.73%) in Academic Matters, 24 (68.57%) in Staffing, 15 (55.56%) in Physical Facilities, 13 (72.22%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored less than 70% in any of the four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme.
