1. The curriculum contains only three additional/innovative courses. 2. The Internal Quality Assurance system is not effective at the departmental level as meetings are not well documented 3. The staff mix by rank of 21:29:50 does not meet the NUC guidelines in two categories. 4. The Department is headed by a lecturer I who is not qualified. 5. The technicians are inadequate as there are no costumier, lighting designer, cameraman and carpenter. 6. The Dance studio is not adequately equipped with the following basic equipment: mirror, washing machine, make-up kit and HDMI cameras. 7. Academic staff offices are inadequate in space. 9. Funding for the programme is inadequate

1. The University should ensure that the curriculum is enriched with at least four additional/innovative courses without exceeding the maximum credit load across all the levels of study. 2. The University should ensure adequate documentation of meetings and other decision making documents. 3. The University should ensure a staff mix by rank of 20:35:45 in line with the NUC guidelines. 4. The University should appoint a qualified academic not below the rank of a senior lecturer as Head of Department. 6. The dance studio should be adequately equipped for the programme. 7. Standard (spacious) offices should be provided for the programme. 8. The University should ensure that internet connectivity is improved upon. 9. The programme should be adequately funded.

The total score for the programme is 84.87%. It scored 30.0 (90.91%) in Academic Matters, 29.0 (83.0%) in Staffing, 20.0 (74.07%) in Physical Facilities, 17.0 (94.44%) in Library. The programme scored 2.0 (66.67%) in Funding, 3.0 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 0.0 (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of FULL accreditation status for the Programme
