1. The standard of test and examination are not of good standard some Question/test papers did not contain clear instruction to students, no name of institution, course code and course title
2. Practical work conducted were not of good standard eg logbooks did not contain remarks/comments of the supervisor.
3. 35.7% academic staff have not benefited from staff development programme
4. Academic staff offices are not adequately equipped with bookshelves, file cabinets notice boards and refrigerators
5. Fire extinguishers and sand buckets are inadequate in number
6. Library books and journals are inadequate in number and
coverage
7.Research and collaboration is inadequate and not
multidisciplinary approach
8. Funding of the programme is inadequate

 

1. The college should ensure standard of tests and examination are of good standard and all question/test papers contain instructions, course code and course title
2. The college should ensure all practical works are of good standard especially supervisor should make their comments/remarks on the student logbooks
3. The college should ensure all academic staff benefit
from staff development programme
4.More books shelves, file cabinets and notice boards and refrigerators should be provided for the programme
5. The college should provide more fire extinguishers and sand buckets for the progamme
6. More current books and journals should be precure in the
physical library.
7. The college should encourage staff and students of the
programme to collaborate and develop multidisciplinary research Project
8 The university should provide adequate fund for the
Programme

 

The total score for the programme is 83.33%. It scored 27 (81.82%)  in Academic Matters, 36 (90.00%) in Staffing, 23 (85.19%) in Physical Facilities, 13 (72.22%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library, in academic matters, staffing, physical facilities and library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
