REMEDIES

1.Practical are not conducted regularly due to poor power supply to laboratory.
2. 66.7% of the academic staff and all of the non teaching staff have not benefited from the staff development programmes.
3. Some classroom furniture are not well maintained, some window louvers and seats are broken.
4. Academic staff offices are inadequate in space and not furnished with bookshelves and file cabinets.
5. Sanitation around the teaching area is poor and the available toilet facilities are inadequate especially for students.
6. Physical library books and journals are inadequate in number.
7. Internet connectivity is slow and impede access to e-resource by staff and students.

 

1. The college should provide alternative source of power supply to ensure that practical are adequately conducted.
2. The college should ensure that all staff benefit from staff development programme.
3. Furniture in the classrooms should be well maintained.
4. Standard academic staff offices should be provided for the programme.
5. The sanitation of the teaching areas should be improved upon.
6. More current books and journals should be procured for the programme.
7. The College should ensure that Internet connectivity is improved upon.

 

The total score for the programme is 81.15%. It scored 33 (89.19%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (82.50%) in Staffing, 20.5 (75.93%) in Physical Facilities, 13 (72.22%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library, in academic matters, staffing, physical facilities and library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
