REMEDIES

1. None of the non-teaching staff attended staff Development in the last 3 years.
2. Chairs and whiteboards in the class rooms are not well maintained.
3. There are no toilets and good furniture in most professorial offices.
4. Staff mix by rank is only consistent with the NUC BMAS in the others category

 

1. The Institution should encourage all the non-teaching staff to benefit from staff Development.
2. Chairs and whiteboard in class rooms should be properly maintained by the Institution.
3. There should be toilet facilities and good furniture in all professorial and other office accommodation
4. Staff mix by rank of 20:35:45 should be maintained by the Institution

 

The total score for the programme is 86.40%. It scored 35.66 (96.38%)  in Academic Matters, 36 (90.00%) in Staffing, 21 (77.78%) in Physical Facilities, 12.66 (70.33%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library, in academic matters, staffing, physical facilities and library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
