1. No Innovative course was included in the Curriculum

2. There was no Econometries Lab for Hard skills practicals

3. Staff Mix by Rank of 20:40:40 did not meet NUC guideline in two categories

4. 20% of Academic Staff and 100% of non-teaching staff have not benefitted from Staff Development programme

5. The offices are adequate but not well equipped

6. Funding for the programme is inadequate

7. Research and Collaboration for the programme is not multidisciplinary in approach

 

1. Innovative courses should be introduced into the curriculum

2. The University should make efforts to establish Econometries Lab.

3. The University should ensure that staff mix by rank meet the NUC guideline of 20:35:45

4. The University should ensure that all staff benefit from the Staff Development Programme

5. The University should look into the offices and equip them well

6. Funding for the programme should be improved

7. The University should ensure that there is a multidisciplinary approach to research in the programme

 

The total score for the programme is 88.78%. It scored 24 (92%)  in Academic Matters, 31 (89%) in Staffing, 10 (77%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
