1. There is no evidence of an internal quality assurance system in place within the department. 2. The staff mix, with a rank ratio of 12.5:6.25:81.25, does not meet NUC guidelines in any category. 3. Only 50% of the academic staff hold PhD degrees. 4. Neither the academic nor the non-academic staff have benefited from the staff development program. 5. Staff offices are inadequate in number and poorly furnished. 6. Fire extinguishers and sand buckets are scarce in offices and teaching facilities. 7. The program’s funding is inadequate. 8. There is no evidence of research collaboration in place.

1. The College should ensure that an internal quality assurance system is in place at the departmental level. 2. The College should ensure that the staff mix by rank of 20:35:45 for Professors, Senior Lecturers, and Lecturers I and below is adequately maintained. 3. The College should ensure that all academic staff teaching degree programs hold PhD degrees. 4. The College should ensure that all staff of the program, both academic and non-academic, benefit from the staff development program. 5. The College should provide adequate and well-furnished offices for all staff of the program. 6. The College should provide adequate fire extinguishers and sand buckets in the staff office complex and all teaching facilities. 7. The College should ensure that the program is adequately funded. 8. The College should encourage staff and students to engage in research collaborations within and outside the institution.

The total score for the programme is 76.92%. It scored 35 (94.59%) in Academic Matters, 25 (62.50%) in Staffing, 19 (70.37%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 0 (0.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored less than 70% in any of the four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme.
