1. Large number of the Academic staff and 100% of Non-Academic Staff have not benefitted from staff development program of the College for the past three years.

2. The physical library holdings and journals are not current.

3. The was no internet facility to access the e-books/e-journals during the exercise

4. Academic Staff offices are inadequately equipped.

5. No evidence of Research and Collaborations.

 

1. The College should ensure that all the staff both Academic and Non-Academic Staff benefit from the staff development program.

2. The College should procure more current and relevant books and journals for the library.

3. Internet facilities should be made available for the coverage of the library and the wider college to enable student access books from any location within the college.

4. The College should make provisions for file cabinet, bookshelves etc. in the academic staff offices.

5. Staff should be encourage to do research and collaborate with colleagues in their discipline within and outside their location.

 

The total score for the programme is 65.38%. It scored 34 (91.89%)  in Academic Matters, 30 (75.00%) in Staffing, 12 (44.44%) in Physical Facilities, 7 (38.89%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 0 (0.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 1 (50.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored less than 70% in any of the four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme
