1. Internal quality assurance system exist but not effective and it is not extended to the departmental level
2. 43 % of the non-academic staff have not benefitted from Staff Development Programme.
3. Physical books for the programme are not current
4. The slow internet connectivity impedes access to e-books and journals by students and staff of the programme
5. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

 

1. Effective internal quality assurance mechanism up to departmental level should be in place for the programme.
2. The University should ensure that all non-academic staff benefit from Staff Development Programme.
3. More current books should be procured for the programme
4. The University should ensure that internet connectivity is improved upon
5. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 90%. It scored 32 (97%)  in Academic Matters, 34 (97%) in Staffing, 23 (83%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (78%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
