1. The staffing is poor in the area of junior and senior academics ,this is because some staff are in study leave
2. Not many staff have benefited from staff development.
3. The laboratories have all the basic equipment but needs improvement
4. The laboratory needs more space for the future.
5. Safety equipment are inadequate
6. More resource books are needed and also the e library needs improvement.

 

1. The University should employ staff in the junior and senior categories until those on study leave return.
2. The University should encourage staff to go for confrences/ workshop to acquire technical experience in their jobs.
3. The University should acquire equipment for the laboratories.
4. The University should find larger space for the laboratories.
5. The University should acquire more fire extinguisher and sand buckets to boost safety.
6. The University management should acquire more books and journals for the library and also improve the speed of the internet connectivity in the e library

 

The total score for the programme is 76.47%. It scored 24 (72.73%)  in Academic Matters, 31 (88.57%) in Staffing, 20 (74.07%) in Physical Facilities, 13 (72.22%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 0 (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
