REMEDIES

1. Practical works were not properly access and did not cover the curriculum.

2. The proportion of staff core to the subject area provides for 70% of the teaching staff needs.

3. 40% of the teaching staff have not benefitted from the staff development programme.
4. There is no functional capentry and plumbing workshop.

5. There is no public address system and no projectors.

6. Academic staff offices are not adequately furnished with white boards, file cabinets, bookshelves, marker boards, refridgerators and Air conditioners.

 

1. The university should ensure that practicals are properly accessed and covers the curriculum.

2. The university should ensure that the proportion of teaching staff core to the subject area provides for at least 75% of the taching staff need.

3. The university should ensure that all staff beefit from the staff development programme.
4. All workshops need for the programme should be made available.
5. All equipments needed for the programme should be provided.
6. Academic staff offices should be adequately furnished.

 

The total score for the programme is 81.51%. It scored 27 (81.82%)  in Academic Matters, 29 (82.86%) in Staffing, 20 (74.07%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
