1. The philosophy is not in tandem with the NUC BMAS. 2. The curriculum is deficient are some compulsory courses were omitted. These are: Real Analysis, Complex Analysis and Abstract Algebra. 3. The curriculum is substantially cover. 4. The internal quality assurance mechanism is not effective. 5. The ratio of teaching staff from Parent University to the programme, provided for only 22.2% of the teaching staff need. 6. The staff mix by rank of 22:22:56 does not meet the NUC approved guidelines for the discipline in two categories 7. None of the non-teaching staff have not benefited from staff development programme. 8. Laboratory equipment such as: MATHE MATICA are not available for the programme. 9. Classroom equipment and furniture are not well maintained. 10. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

1. The Philosophy of the programme should be in tandem with the NUC BMAS. 2. The curriculum should be revised to include Real Analysis, Complex Analysis and Abstract Algebra 3. The College should ensure that the curriculum is adequately covered. 4. The College should ensure that the internal quality mechanism is effective to impact on the programme. 5. The College should ensure that the ratio of teaching staff from parent University to the subject area provides for 25% or more of the teaching. 6. The Collage should ensure a staff mix by rank of 20:35:45 in line with the NUC approved guidelines 7. The College should ensure that all non-teaching staff benefit from staff development programme. 8. All essential laboratory equipment should be provided for the programme. 9. Equipment and classroom furniture should be well maintained. 10. The programme should be adequately funded.

The total score for the programme is 78.17%. It scored 24.5 (74.24%) in Academic Matters, 33 (82.50%) in Staffing, 20 (74.07%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library, in academic matters, staffing, physical facilities and library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
B. APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION
Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of FULL accreditation status for the Programme
