1. The curriculum does not have up to fou(4) innovative courses
2. Not up to 70% of the academic staff have benefitted from staff development training.
3. Staff offices were not adequate in number as there were a lot of shared offices in the department.
4. Internet access in the Library and access the campus was poor.

 

1. The Department should include more innovative courses to the programme.
2. The department should ensure that more academic staff benefit from staff development training.
3. The University should provide more staff offices for the department,
4. The University should provide adequate internet facilities in the Library and across the campus.

 

The total score for the programme is 92.23%. It scored 27 (96.43%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94.29%) in Staffing, 14 (87.50%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (87.50%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
