1- The internal quality assurance mechanism is not effective.
2- 52% of the non-academic staff have not benefited from staff development program.
3- Classrooms are inadequate in number.
4- Physical library books and journals are inadequate in number.
5- Internet hotspots are only available within the library complex.
6- Funding is inadequate for the program.

 

1- The university should ensure that the internal quality assurance unit is effective to impact on the program.
2- The university should ensure that all non-academic staff benefit from staff development program.
3- Standard classrooms should be provided for the program.
4- More current books and journals should be procured for the program.
5- Internet hotspots should be extended to other parts of the campus for ease of access to e-resources.
6- The program should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 91.2%. It scored 37 (97.3%)  in Academic Matters, 35 (94%) in Staffing, 27 (93%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (77.8%) in Library. The programme scored 3 (33.3%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
