REMEDIES

1. Practicals conducted are not of good quality.

2. 39.6% of the academic staff do not have Ph.D.

3. 41.9% of the academic staff and 50% of the non-academic have not benefitted from the staff development programme of the University.

4. There is no standard moot court with Judges chambers and lawyers dressing room.

5. The classrooms are inadequate in space.

6. Academic staff offices are not well furnished with bookshelves and suite racks.

7. Journals in the physical library are not adequate in number and currency.

8. Internet connectivity is slow.

9. Funding is inadequate for the programme.

 

1. The University should ensure a standard moot court is provided for the programme to enhance the quality of practicals.

2. The University should encourage all academic staff to obtain their Ph.D.

3. The University should ensure all academic and non-academic staff benefit from the staff development programme of the University.

4. Standard and well furnished moot court should be provided for the programme.

5. Standard and adequately furnished academic staff offices should be provided for the programme.
6. Spacious and adequately furnished academic staff offices should be provided for the programme.

7. More current journals should be provided for the programme.

8. Internet connectivity should be improved.

9. More funds should be provided for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 79.20%. It scored 32 (86.49%)  in Academic Matters, 28 (80.00%) in Staffing, 20 (74.07%) in Physical Facilities, 13 (72.22%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
