1. The curriculum contains no additional innovative courses.

2. Physical books in bioinformatics, tissue culture and molecular genetics are inadequate in number.

3. Subscription to only one relevant database for the programme is inadequate.

4. There is no multidisciplinary approach to research and collaborations.

 

1. The University should ensure that the curriculum is enriched by the addition of at least four innovative courses without exceeding the maximum credit load.

2. More current books and journals should be procured.

3.The University should subscribe to at least two relevant databases for more robust and current electronic resources.

4. The University should ensure that there is a multidisciplinary approach to research and collaborations in the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 88.62%. It scored 32 (91.4329%)  in Academic Matters, 29 (82.86%) in Staffing, 27 (100.00%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83.33%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
