REMEDIES

1. Practicals conducted by students are not of good quality.

2. 33.3% of the academic staff do not have PhD.

3. 50% of the non-teaching staff have not benefitted from the staff
development programme.

4. the moot court is not adequately furnished as there are no Judges seats
and no difference between the bar and the audience seats.

5. Physical Library books and journals are inadequate in number and
currency.
6. Internet connectivity is slow.
7. funding is inadequate for the programme.

 

1. The moot court should be adequately furnished to enhance the quality
of practicals conducted by students.
2. The University should ensure all academic staff obtain the PhD degree.

3. The University should ensure all the non-teaching staff benefit from the
staff development programme.

4. Standard and adequately furnished moot court should be provided for
the programme.

5. More current books and journals should be procured for the
programme.
6. Internet connectivity should be improved upon.
7. more funds should be provided for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 83.19%. It scored 29 (87.88%)  in Academic Matters, 31 (88.57%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 13 (72.22%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 0 (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
