REMEDIES

1. 41.9% of the academic staff have not benefitted from Staff Development Programme.
2. Some academic staff offices are inadequate in space and not well furnished with good chairs and bookshelves.
3. Physical library books and journals are inadequate in number and currency.
4. Funding is inadequate for the programme.

 

1. The University should ensure that all academic staff benefit from Staff Development Programme.
2. Standard and well furnished staff offices should be provide for academic staff of the programme.
3. More current books and journals should be procured for the programme.
4. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 90.83%. It scored 32 (100.00%)  in Academic Matters, 31 (88.57%) in Staffing, 13 (81.25%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
