1. Marking schemes are not well developed. There is block allocation of marks to questions in most examination papers. 2. 33.3% of the academic staff do not have Ph.D degree. 3. 33.3% of the non-teaching staff have not benefited from the Staff Development Programme. 4. The light bulbs, ceiling fans and projectors are not functional in some of the classrooms and lecture theaters. Furniture items are in a deplorable state. 5. Physical library books and journals are inadequate in currency. 6. The slow internet connectivity impedes access to e-books and journals by students and staff of the programme. 7. There is no multidisciplinary approach to research in the programme.

1. Bulk allocation of marks to examination questions should be discouraged. 2. All academic staff should be encouraged to obtain Ph.D degree. 3. The University should ensure that all non-teaching staff benefit from the Staff Development Programme. 4. Furniture items in classrooms and lecture theaters should be well maintained.. Functional light bulbs, ceiling fans and projectors should be installed. 5. More current books and journals should be procured for the programme. 6. The University should ensure that internet connectivity is improved upon. 7. The University should ensure that there is a multidisciplinary approach to research in the programme.

The total score for the programme is 84.90%. It scored 24 (92.31%) in Academic Matters, 29.75 (90.15%) in Staffing, 13 (81.25%) in Physical Facilities, 13.25 (73.61%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 1.75 (58.33%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of FULL accreditation status for the Programme
