1. The curriculum contains only two innovative courses. PHL 432 (Business Ethics) and PHL 440 (Elements In Game & decision Theory). 2. There is block allocation of marks to questions in most examination papers. 3. External Examiners system exists but reports did not reflect the judgement of the assessors on the quality of facilities and teaching. 4. The internal quality assurance programme is not effective. There are no minutes of meetings. 5. 73.3% of the academic staff and 50.0% of the non-teaching staff have not benefited from the Staff Development Programme. 6. Furniture in classrooms and lecture theaters are in a deplorable state. Some of the ceiling fans ad projectors are not functional. The classrooms and lecture theaters’ windows are broken and the lighting is poor. 7. Sanitation around the teaching areas is poor with no functional toilets. Available fire extinguishers and sand buckets are inadequate. 8. Some of the academic staff offices are not furnished with standard tables and chairs. the Professorial staff offices do not have in-built toilet facilities. 9. Funding is inadequate for the programme. 10. There is no multidisciplinary approach to research.

1. The University should ensure that the curriculum is enriched by the addition of at least four (40 innovative courses without exceeding the maximum credit load. 2. Block allocation of marks to examination questions should be discouraged. 3. The reports of the External Examiners should capture the University’s level of compliance with BMAS and the judgement of the assessors on the quality of the teaching and facilities available for the programe. 4. The University should ensure that minutes of meetings are adequately documented. 5. the University should ensure that all academic and non-teaching staff benefit from the staff Development Programme. 6. Furniture in classrooms and lecture theaters should be well maintained. In addition functional ceiling fans, projectors and light bulbs should be installed. 7. The poor sanitation around the teaching areas should be improved. Functional toilets with water systems, fire extinguishers and sand buckets should be provided for the programme. 8. Well furnished staff offices should be provided for the academic staff of the programme. The Professorial offices should have in-built toilet facilities. 9. The programme should be adequately funded. 10. The University should ensure that there is a multidisciplinary approach to research in the programme.

The total score for the programme is 80.73%. It scored 27.5 (85.94%) in Academic Matters, 28.5 (81.43%) in Staffing, 10.5 (65.63%) in Physical Facilities, 16.75 (93.06%) in Library. The programme scored 1.75 (58.33%) in Funding, 1 (33.33%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. the Panel recommended accreditation status for the Programme.
