DEFICIENCIES

REMEDIES

1. There was evidence of block/bulk marking.

2. There is no evidence of students’ course evaluation policy for the programme.

3. Laboratory equipment such as: first aid kit, shower and emergency exit are not available and the laboratory room is poorly illuminated.

4. There is no strong internet connectivity in the Classrooms.

5. Inadequate number of fire extinguishers and sand buckets in the university environment

6. Access to available e-books and e-journals for staff and student is available only to campus hotspots and intranet.

 

1. The University should be advised to allot marks accordingly

2. There University should ensure student course evaluation policy exist for the programme.

3. All essential laboratory equipment should be provided with good illumination.

4. Secured and functional internet connectivity should be provided for the classrooms with increased bandwidth.

5. The University should provide more fire extinguishers and sand buckets.

6. The University should provide more access to available e-books and e-journals to internet and library website.

 

The total score for the programme is 84.80%. It scored 30 (81.08%)  in Academic Matters, 34 (97.14%) in Staffing, 23 (85.19%) in Physical Facilities, 13 (72.22%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 1 (50.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
