REMEDIES

1. The Staff mix of 43.75:18.75:57.5 does not meet the NUC specification because it is top-heavy.
2. The Laboratories did not meet the NUC-prescribed space standards and did not have preparatory rooms, a store, and an office for the clinical instructor.

 

1. The University should balance the staff mix by employing more Senior lecturers.
2. The University should provide laboratories with adequate space for the programme

 

The total score for the programme is 96.80%. It scored 37 (100.00%)  in Academic Matters, 35 (100.00%) in Staffing, 24 (88.89%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
