1. Bloc marking was observed in SOC 303 Sociology of Crime and
Deliguency and SOC 206 Structure of Nigeria Government

2. Academic staff offices are inadequate in space and not well furnished
with bookshelves.

3. Physical library books are in adequate in number and coverage in the
area of Social Stratification and Sociological Theory..

4. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

 

1. The University should ensure that bloc marking is discouraged.

2. Adequate number of well furnished academic staff offices should be
provided for the programme.

3. More books should be procured for the programme.

4. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 91.26%. It scored 27 (96.43%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94.0%) in Staffing, 14 (87.50%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 0 (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
