1. The curriculum is not adequate for the programme such as, heritage studies and introductory course in archeology 2. Staff mix by rank of 20:35:45 were not in line with the NUC requirements 3. The department has only one non teaching staff which is considered to be inadequate 4. The history resource room-(visual lab) is not adequately equipped 5. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

The total score for the programme is 93.3%. It scored 32 (100%) in Academic Matters, 35 (91%) in Staffing, 27 (85.1%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100%) in Library. The programme scored 3 (66.6%) in Funding, 3 (100%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
