1. Internal quality assurance exist but there are no evidence of minutes of meeting.

2. The ratio/proportion of teaching staff core to the programme provides for only 71.4 % of the teaching staff need.

3. None of the non-academic staff have benefitted from Staff Development Programme.

4. Subscription to e-library resources is inadequate.

5. There is no evidence of research and collaboration in the programme.

6. There is no tracer system in place .

7. Funding is inadequate for the programme.

 

1. The University should ensure that minutes of meetings are adequately documented.

2. The University should ensure that the ratio/ proportion of teaching staff core to the subject area provides for 75% or more of the teaching staff need.

3. The University should ensure that all non-academic staff benefit from Staff Development Programme.

4. The University should subscribe to more databases.

5. The University should ensure that there is research and collaboration in the programme.

6. The University should ensure that a tracer system is in place .

7. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 85.32%. It scored 29 (90.63%)  in Academic Matters, 31 (88.57%) in Staffing, 15 (93.75%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 1 (33.33%) in Research and Collaborations and 0 (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
