1. Academic staff mix by rank of
60:09:31 does not meet the NUC guidelines in any category.

2. 79% of the non-teaching staff have not benefitted from the staff Development programme in the past three years.

3. Workshop space is inadequate for the Programme.

4. Laboratory equipment such as Digital Universal Testing Machine and Clinometer are not available in the Concrete workshop.

5. Academic Staff offices are not adequately furnished with standard table, c`hairs and file cabinets and book shelves.

 

1. The University should ensure the staff mix by rank of 20:35:45 in line with the NUC guidelines.

2. The University is encouraged to ensure that all staff benefit from the staff Development Programme,

3. The university should provide adequated Workshop space for the Programme.

4. The University should provide all essential laboratory equipment for the programme.

5. Academic staff offices should be equipped and furnished with standard tables and chairs, file cabinets, book shelves and white boards.

 

The total score for the programme is 89.92%. It scored 36.4 (98.38%)  in Academic Matters, 30 (86%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94.44%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
