1. The curriculum contains less than four innovative courses.

2. The internal quality assurance mechanism is not effective.

3. None of the non-teaching staff have not benefited from staff development programme.

4. Classroom equipment and furniture are not well maintained.

5. Library books are inadequate in number and currency.

6. The library subscription to e-books and e-journals is active to at least one (1) relevant data base in addition to open source for the program.

 

1. The University should ensure that the curriculum is enriched by the addition of at least four innovative courses without exceeding the maximum credit load.

2. The University should ensure that internal quality assurance mechanism is effective.

3. The University should ensure that all non-teaching staff benefit from the staff development programme.

4. Equipment and classroom furniture should be well maintained.

5. More current books should be procured for the programme.
6. The University should subscribe to at least two (2) relevant database e-resources for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 88.07%. It scored 28 (87.50%)  in Academic Matters, 34 (97%) in Staffing, 13 (81.25%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (77.78%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
